The 27 Greek citizens who took part in the Global Sumud Flotilla action to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza arrived in Athens around 5:00 p.m. on Monday, on a flight from Eilat, Israel.
Alongside them arrived other activists who had been detained for a few days by Israeli authorities. According to a report by Ynet, this included 28 French, 15 Italian, and 9 Swedish nationals — among them Greta Thunberg.
A large crowd gathered at the airport to welcome them, holding banners in support of the activists.
