Greek actress Klelia Andriolatou’s performance in the Greek hit TV series “Maestro in Blue,” streaming on Netflix, has catapulted her into the international film industry. Young, beautiful and talented, she is set to be Greece’s newest shining star in the acting realm.
The Greek actress is the female protagonist of “Maestro in Blue” (known as Maestro in Greece) in which she portrays a character also named Klelia. The series, helmed, created and directed by Christoforos Papakaliatis, premiered on MEGA TV in Greece in October 2022 and quickly became a viewer favorite. Five months later, it was picked up by Netflix for international distribution and was released worldwide in May 2023, turning Andriolatou into a Greek media sensation.
The 28-year-old actress has almost 400,000 followers on Instagram. Her posts often become viral and receive thousands of likes from her fans, who eagerly await “Maestro”‘s season three premiere. It will air on December 2 on MEGA TV in Greece.
Who is Klelia Andriolatou?
Klelia Andriolatou was born in Greece’s northern city of Thessaloniki on October 12, 1996. At the age of 14, she started working as a model. Four years later, she made her acting debut in the popular soap opera series “Brousko,” which aired on ANTENNA TV. That role touched off her passion for acting and a few years later, she graduated from the drama school of the prestigious and historic Athens Conservatoire (Odeion Athinon in Greek), founded in 1871. In a 2022 interview in the Greek edition of “ELLE” magazine, Andriolatou said that she “had fought hard” to acquire her acting degree.

In one of her countless interviews in the “STUDIO 4” show airing on the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation, Andriolatou said that she “never wanted to become an actress, it’s just something that happened.” Her role in “Maestro” though was set to change her life and send her flying into fame. Christoforos Papakaliatis revealed how he chose Andriolatou as his new female protagonist and muse in a MEGA TV interview ahead of the drama show premiere in 2022.
The “Maestro” director said that he had heard about the young actress from colleagues and her drama school teachers. Without telling her about the role, he invited her for coffee and a chat. “She is sweet but at the same time, also storming. It’s this combination that she has,” he said during the interview. “While I was very strict that I won’t tell you anything and that production will call you, until our chat was over, I was sold. I gave her the script, I told her I’ll see you at the shoot and I left.”
Soon after, Andriolatou shot to stardom through that role, where she portrays Klelia, an 18-year-old girl preparing to take her exams at the music school. She grew up on the Greek island of Paxos, plays the piano and wants to study music, which is what fuels her life. Orestis (Christoforos Papakaliatis), a troubled musician, travels to Paxos to direct the revival of the local music festival. There he meets Klelia, falls for her and gets embroiled in the social problems of the local community.
The new season of “Maestro in Blue” will be available on Netflix from Tuesday, December 3, in Greece and Cyprus and in the rest of the world on Saturday, December 28.
