Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are adding Kos as a new destination to their summer 2026 schedule from Glasgow Airport, boosting Scotland’s connectivity with Greece. The new route, which will operate every Tuesday, will begin on 26 May 2026 and will run until 20 October 2026.
With the addition of Kos, the airline brings its Greek destinations from Glasgow to six for the summer of 2026, joining Corfu, Heraklion, Kefalonia, Rhodes and Zakynthos.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays CEO Steve Heapy said that increased demand from customers and travel agents in Scotland for holidays to Greece led to the immediate decision to add Kos to the programme.
“As the largest airline and tourism operator to Greece from Scotland, we have been quick to respond to demand, giving customers even more choice from Glasgow Airport. Kos is a magical destination, and we believe that its charm, combined with the award-winning experience we offer, will make it extremely popular with those looking for an unforgettable getaway,” he said.
By summer 2026, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate to a total of 40 destinations from Glasgow Airport, confirming their strategic role in connecting Scotland with Europe and the Mediterranean.
For his part, AGS Airports’ commercial director, Matt Hazelwood, underlined that the new connection to Kos responds to a trend that has been recorded for some time.
“Glasgow passengers are demanding more options for Greece, and market conditions clearly show the growing tendency of residents of western Scotland to travel to this part of Europe. We welcome Jet2.com’s decision to expand its Greek program for the summer of 2026 and look forward to welcoming even more passengers to Greece,” he said.
This development further strengthens Greece’s presence in the UK market, with Kos dynamically entering the Scottish travel map, offering new opportunities for both local tourism and Greek hospitality businesses.
