“SETE, the board of directors and the organization’s executives, INSETE and Marketing Greece, express our sincere and deep condolences for the loss of Spyros Kokotos to his family and loved ones.
An emblematic personality and visionary, Spyros Kokotos was one of the most distinguished Greek entrepreneurs in the hospitality industry.
He supported with all his might the efforts to develop Greek tourism.
His legacy is not limited to the hotel complexes he designed, but extends to his overall contribution to the promotion of Greek tourism.
He was a pioneer in the development of high-standard tourism in Greece and in particular in Elounda, with projects that changed the face of Greek hospitality.
His name became synonymous with innovation, quality and the constant search for excellence.
He was among the first to understand the strategic importance of tourism for the national economy and society, the need for coordinated representation of tourism entrepreneurship.
One of the founders of SETE, Spyros Kokotos was the first President of the Association and was Honorary President.
His loss leaves an irreplaceable void in Greek tourism.
His memory will remain alive and his work and his principles will continue to guide us”.
