The Municipality of Edessa has planned to inaugurate today, September 3, a two-day event in collaboration with the Embassy of Vietnam in Thessaloniki, with the aim of promoting Vietnamese culture in the city. The program of events includes screenings of Vietnamese films and tastings of traditional dishes, offering the public and visitors to Edessa a unique experience that combines culture and gastronomy.
As part of the co-organization, Edessa is hosting the six-member mission of the Embassy of Vietnam, led by the Ambassador, while the Embassy staff prepares and offers authentic Vietnamese dishes to the public. At the same time, the film screenings allow visitors to better understand the country’s modern and traditional cinema, enriching the tourist experience with cultural elements that are not widely known in Greece.
This initiative is expected to attract not only residents of Edessa, but also tourists who will visit the area to combine watching the events with the city’s natural and historical attractions, such as the famous waterfalls and the old hydroelectric plant. The presence of the Embassy and its direct participation in the planning of the events enhances the authenticity of the experience and highlights the Municipality of Edessa as a modern cultural and tourist destination.
The two-day event also supports the local tourism economy, as visitors will have the opportunity to combine the events with walks in the old town, visits to the waterfalls and historical monuments, while they will get to know the local gastronomy and the hospitality of the residents, living a complete cultural experience.
The event is also an example of international cooperation, with the Municipality hosting the event and the Embassy of Vietnam covering the cost of raw materials and film production, ensuring the smooth running of the program. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste authentic flavors, get to know Vietnamese culture and cinema, and enjoy a unique cultural experience in the heart of Edessa.
