OPA!HOMA | The heart of the Aegean will beat in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Tulsa, Oklahoma will “dance” to traditional Aegean rhythms the next three days at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity. From September 18 to 20, 2025, the Tulsa Greek Festival OPA!HOMA welcomes the public for the 65th year, offering a three-day event full of authentic flavors, music, dance and Greek hospitality. This is the city’s “longest-running ethnic festival”, which promises a trip to the Cyclades without a plane ticket.
Flavors that travel
The menu is reminiscent of a festive table on a Greek island. From succulent slow-cooked lamb with garlic and chicken marinated with Greek herbs, to traditional gyros, pork souvlaki and a refreshing Greek salad. Guests can accompany their meal with Greek lemon potatoes, “Fasolakia” beans, or classic rice pilaf.
Sweet sins, such as the famous baklava with honey and cinnamon, honey and cinnamon loukoumades and fragrant kourabiedes, ideally close the meal.
Live experience
Beyond the flavors, the festival fills the city with traditional music and dance. Folk bands, sounds of bouzouki and dance groups dressed in traditional costumes transform the church courtyard into a true Greek festival.
A family celebration
The Tulsa Greek Festival is aimed at young and old, inviting them to “set sail” for the Greek islands without leaving Oklahoma.
