Panos Loupasis: Greek who takes on ambitious plan of United Hospitality Management

Panos Loupasis has taken on the role of Vice President of Development for the Middle East, Africa and Asia of United Hospitality Management (UHM), with a long tenure in high-ranking positions in the hospitality sector.
In his new role, Mr. Loupasis will be responsible for the implementation of UHM’s investment planning in the region, with an emphasis on identifying new markets and developing partnerships with investors and developers for acquisitions, conversions or new constructions. He will work closely with the executive teams and stakeholders, so that development projects are aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
His contribution is expected to be crucial in achieving UHM’s ambitious plan, which aims to have a portfolio of 100 hotels by 2030.
Experienced career in the hospitality industry
With more than 27 years of international experience, Panos Loupasis is considered an established executive in the hospitality sector. He joins UHM from Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, where he held the position of Managing Director for Turkey, the Middle East and Africa, having under his responsibility more than 187 units in operation.
Previously, he had assumed senior development positions in large international groups, such as Rezidor Hotel Group and Accor Hotels, while he played a key role in the introduction of the Holiday Inn Express brand in the Gulf Countries (GCC). Mr. Loupasis holds an MBA in Hospitality Management from Cornell-Essec (IMHI) and a BA in Economics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
