The “FVW workshop”, which will be held in Kos, from 15 to 19 October 2025, will be rich in thematic proposals. The event includes a conference day, on Friday 17/10/25, and visits to the islands of Nisyros and Kalymnos.
The “FVW workshop” concerns the German market and is known for its dynamics and results in the destination from the previous 10 successful events in different areas of the country (Rhodes, Kos, Crete, Athens, Thessaloniki/Chalkidiki, Corfu, etc.). It was held again in Kos in 2016 with the aim of reversing the negative climate, which had been created by the immigration issue and, by common admission, contributed significantly to the return of sales to normality in the German market.
FVW is the largest tourism media in Germany, with a history of over 50 years, and has vast experience in tourism issues. It is the organizer with the kind support of the Greek National Tourism Organization, the South Aegean Region, the Greek Chamber of Hotels and the Kos Hoteliers Association, the K.O.A.N., the Kos International Hippodrome Foundation, the Municipality of Kalymnia and the Municipality of Nisyros, the Travel Exchange tourist agency and other organizations. All fvw workshops so far have been held under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism. The action is supported by local businesses and organizations. Accommodation and conference sponsor is Grecotel LUXME. Transport sponsor is Aegean. Major sponsors are: Koullias Hotels and Mitsis Group.
The action includes a five-day visit and hospitality in Kos, a conference day – workshop -, experiential experiences and visits to the neighboring islands of Nisyros and Kalymnos. The project is designed to bring the destination closer to decision makers and the distribution network of tour operators, retailers and the FVW tourism media – it communicates daily with approximately 8,000 tourist offices – with the aim of increasing sales.
Representatives of tourism operators, tourism professionals and the following organizations will participate and discuss in the conference day: All Tours (Oliver Grosse-Kleiman, Director Contracting Greece & Longhaul), TUI Group (Robin Brückner, Head of Product Greece & Cyprus), Dertour Group (Reinhard Stadlober, Head of Contracting Greece & Cyprus), Coral/Ferien Touristik (Hicabi Ayhan, Direktor Product Management), LMX (Lars Ludwig, CEO), Vtours (Christian Payr, Director Product Management), Studiosus (Peter Strub, COO).
The workshop is coordinated by the editor-in-chief of FVW, Klaus Hildebrand. Project manager is Anta Karagianni, Praxis Plus. Speed dating will follow for the presentation of destinations and businesses.
Events of this size and extroversion rely heavily on the responsible participation and support of professionals from every sector and organizations, especially those active in tourism. Sponsors and supporters will be announced and promoted throughout the event.
