With a warm welcome, high-ranking executives of the Greek airline SKY express welcomed the 15th Airbus and 29th aircraft in total – a state-of-the-art Airbus A320neo, directly from the Airbus production plant in Toulouse. Its arrival marks an important step in the company’s development path and confirms its strategic choice to consistently invest in advanced technology and innovation aircraft.
With the addition of the Airbus A320neo, SKY express remains the only airline with the youngest fleet of aircraft in Greece, with an average age of just 3.8 years for the Airbus neo. Investing in a modern and reliable fleet is an integral part of the company’s vision to continuously upgrade the level of its services, always focusing on the passenger.
The new aircraft features comfortable leather seats, built-in USB ports, a 50% smaller noise footprint and state-of-the-art CFM LEAP-1A engines, which offer 20% lower fuel consumption and 20% lower CO2 emissions compared to the previous generation.
It is worth noting that the company recently announced the addition of six (6) new international destinations to its network, as part of its strategy of extroversion and international development, reaching a total of 27 international destinations. At the same time, it remains the only Greek airline that covers the largest network of 33 destinations within Greece.
Mr. George Lioumis, General Manager of SKY express stated: “The delivery of the new Airbus A320neo is another step in our continuous evolution. For us, each new aircraft is more than an investment, it is a commitment to the passenger and the environment. SKY express is a company that does not compromise.
