Week in Review: Drones, Special Ops and Electoral Manoeuvres

Over the last year, Moldova has navigated a constitutional referendum, a presidential election and, most recently, a parliamentary election last month. All three have helped to confirm the country’s commitment to a hoped-for future in the EU.
However, they have also confirmed the country’s polarisation between a pro-European wing and a pro-Russian wing. If the new government is to make real progress towards EU membership, it will need to work hard to build bridges and persuade the population as a whole of the benefits of EU membership.
