The exhibition Wine Vision by Open Balkan, held in Belgrade between 22 and 25 November 2025, once again confirmed its dynamic presence as one of the most important events on the wine and gastronomic map of Southeast Europe. Wine Vision by Open Balkan is an event that clearly reflects the new face of Serbia.
The exhibition brought together hundreds of producers, wine-tourism professionals, journalists and visitors from many countries. Serbian wineries were placed at the centre of attention, showcasing labels that demonstrate the remarkable progress made by the country’s wine sector in recent years.
Visitors had the opportunity to taste Serbian white wines with refreshing acidity, complex reds, and premium selections that have already gained international recognition. Participating producers are those who consistently invest in the country’s terroir, highlighting the distinctive character of Serbian soil.
A special place at the exhibition was held by rakija, Serbia’s traditional spirit with centuries of history and dozens of variations. Rakija is not just a drink — locals consider it an essential part of Serbian hospitality.
Air Serbia also participated in the exhibition, presenting its modern corporate identity and the new services it offers to travellers, along with the National Tourism Organisation of Serbia.
Serbian gastronomy
The gastronomic section of the event showcased the full range of Serbian products: artisanal cheeses, traditional cured meats, handmade sweets, honey, olive oils, and contemporary culinary creations that marry tradition with new international trends. This comprehensive presentation of Serbian gastronomy offered visitors a deeper understanding of the country’s overall cultural identity.
Antonis Leivadiotis: Ambassador of Serbian tourism in Greece
Also present at the exhibition was Antonis Leivadiotis, one of the most prominent Greek travel content creators, who has for years been systematically promoting Serbian culture to Greek youth and travel audiences. With a longstanding connection to Serbia and countless trips to the country, Leivadiotis has become one of the most consistent “storytellers” of Serbia’s modern identity. His participation in the event covered all core themes of the festival: wine, gastronomy, cultural heritage and the country’s new tourism profile.

During the exhibition, Leivadiotis met with the CEO of the Serbian Tourism Organisation, Marija Labović, who plays a key role in shaping Serbia’s modern tourism strategy and strengthening its international presence. Her participation in Wine Vision highlighted Serbia’s commitment to promoting authentic gastronomic and wine experiences to global markets. As part of the event, Leivadiotis also held discussions with representatives of Air Serbia.
Through his travel experiences, Antonis Leivadiotis continues to present to the Greek public a Serbia that is evolving — a country that blends tradition, culture and contemporary creativity. “With every visit, I feel that I bring back to the Greek audience images of a country that is not afraid to move forward while preserving the core of its identity,” he stated.
