Bishop Athenagoras’s enthronement took place with great ceremony on December 6, 2025, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Canberra. As the first such installation for the Diocese of Canberra, it attracted hundreds of faithful and marked a renewed commitment to unity in Australia’s Greek Orthodox community. Presided over by Archbishop Makarios, the occasion blended spiritual joy with the celebration of growing multicultural connections.
