Air conditioning system failure grounds plane in Athens for hours with Cypriot passengers

A passenger suffered respiratory problems on a flight from Athens to Larnaca as he was forced to stay on the plane for more than an hour without air conditioning due to a system failure that grounded the plane for several hours last night at the Eleftherios Venizelos airport.
The Cypriot elderly man felt shortness of breath and an ambulance was dispatched to the aircraft taking the patient to a local hospital.
A passenger told Philenews that the flight was due to take off at 19:10, but due to the technical issue, there was significant delay and they were all trapped in an aircraft without air conditioning for more than an hour.
Following protests, the crew allowed passengers to disembark, ‘at their own responsibility’, as it was noted. They stayed on airport grounds for hours before the issue was resolved and the flight took off.
