Representing the Ministry of Tourism, Deputy Minister of Tourism Anna Karamanli participated in the established blessing ceremony of the School of Higher Vocational Training in Tourism of Central Greece, in Galaxidi.
The Deputy Minister congratulated the new Director of SAEK Tourism of Central Greece, Mr. Koutroumpas, on his recent assumption of duties, thanked the teaching and administrative staff for their contribution and dedication and spoke with trainees, expressing her joy for the smooth start of the new training year.
As she emphasized, this year started earlier than ever before, thanks to the timely staffing of the Schools of the Ministry of Tourism with teaching staff, a fact that demonstrates the collective effort and commitment of the Ministry for quality tourism education.
Ms. Karamanli pointed out that the Ministry continues to consistently support tourism education, with constant care for improving the operation of the schools and providing comprehensive vocational training, so that trainees are ready to respond to the needs of the tourism market.
S.A.E.K. Galaxidi is one of the most historic schools of the Ministry of Tourism and has hospitality infrastructure, offering trainees the opportunity to live and study in the same place. In this way, experiential training and the essential connection between theory and practice are enhanced.
In closing, the Deputy Minister wished “good strength and a productive year” to teachers and students, emphasizing that she will be in constant collaboration with the school’s management and staff on any issues that arise.
