Greece, Athens, the Greek islands and 21 Greek hotels shone in the cream of global tourism for 2025, as highlighted by the 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards by Conde Nast Traveller.
In particular, the readers of the major travel magazine voted Greece and its “hospitality” as one of the 10 friendliest European countries, ranking it in sixth place in the ranking.
Athens also won the award for the 12th best European city, based on the overall level of visitor satisfaction.
At the same time, Naxos was named the best island in Europe. In the same category, Crete follows in 8th place, Corfu in 10th, Rhodes in 11th, Skiathos in 12th, Mykonos in 14th, Folegandros in 17th and Santorini in 18th.
