Cypriot man arrested over violent Orokolini incident, to face trial

A 31-year-old Greek Cypriot man wanted in connection with the violent clashes in Orokolini on Saturday, April 5, has been arrested by Larnaca CID, authorities said on Sunday.
The suspect, along with a 35-year-old building manager of an apartment complex housing migrants, is expected to be referred directly to the Permanent Criminal Court of Larnaca on Monday.
So far, 11 individuals have been arrested in connection with the case—five Cypriots and six foreign nationals.
The incident took place at an apartment complex in Orokolini and left a 27-year-old man critically injured and a two-month-old infant seriously hurt.
