Cyprus Film Days closes with trilingual screenings and awards on Saturday

The 23rd Cyprus Film Days International Festival 2025 will conclude on Saturday with a closing ceremony at Rialto Theatre in Limassol, featuring the screening of Cypriot filmmaker Aliki Danezi Knutsen’s “Together Apart” followed by multiple awards presentations.
The nine-day festival will distribute over €20,000 in cash prizes across international and national competition categories, with additional post-production services and equipment rental awards also on offer.
A five-member international jury chaired by Aleksandra Bozovic, Director of the Film Centre of Montenegro, will determine the winners in both the Glocal Images International Competition and the Cypriot Films National Competition.
Seven international films and three Cypriot productions are competing for the Best Film Award (€6,000), Special Jury Award (€3,000), Best Director Award (€1,000) and Best Cinematography Award (€1,000).
Cypriot entries will additionally compete for the Best Cypriot Film Award (€4,000), Best Cypriot Director Award (with €7,000 worth of post-production services), and Best Performance Award (€1,000).
The ceremony will also recognize projects from the festival’s co-production forum “Dot.on.the.Map Meeting Point,” with awards including the Cyprus Film Commission Award (€2,000) and the Coprocity Development Award (€3,500).
Following the awards presentation, the festival will host a closing party featuring video projections and music by German collective From Berlin With Love.
All films in the festival have been screened in their original languages with Greek and English subtitles, with Cypriot competition entries also including Turkish subtitles to accommodate the island’s diverse communities.
Festival admission costs €5 per screening or €30 for a festival pass, with free access for students and holders of disability cards.
