The 23rd Cyprus Film Days International Festival has announced a five-member international jury to evaluate competing films and present awards worth over €23,000 in cash and services at its 2025 edition, running April 4-12 in Limassol and Nicosia.
The jury will be chaired by Aleksandra Božović, director of the Film Centre of Montenegro, festival organisers announced.

Other jury members include French film curator Delphine Leccas, Hungarian director György Pálfi, Les Arcs Film Festival co-founder Guillaume Calop, and Cypriot actress Agni Scott, currently appearing in Netflix’s “Alexander – The Making of a God.”

The jury will evaluate seven international and three Cypriot films in the Glocal Images International Competition Programme, with winners to be announced at the closing ceremony on April 12 at Limassol’s Rialto Theatre.
“We are excited to welcome a celebrated International Jury composed of five distinguished professionals from different corners of the cinematic world, bringing their experience and varied expertise to the table,” a festival spokesperson said.
The festival will present eight awards, including the €6,000 Best Film Award, a Best Cypriot Film Award with post-production services worth €7,000, and a €3,000 Special Jury Award.
Additional prizes include Best Director (€1,000), Best Cinematography (€1,000), Best Cypriot Director (€4,000 plus studio access), Best Performance in a Cypriot Film (€1,000), and an Audience Award (€1,500) determined by viewer votes.
The festival will also screen “Perpetuity,” the latest film by jury member György Pálfi, set in a post-apocalyptic Hungarian-Ukrainian village.
Screenings will take place at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol and Zena Palace in Nicosia, with tickets priced at €5 per screening or €30 for a festival pass. Entry is free for students, children, and disability card holders.
All films will be screened in their original language with Greek and English subtitles, with Cypriot competition films also featuring Turkish subtitles.
The festival is organised by the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Culture and Rialto Theatre, with support from Limassol and Nicosia municipalities.
