- Digital tour facilities in the Palace gardens guide visitors through its history
The Public Property Company (PTC), a subsidiary of the Superfund, is creating an upgraded experience at the Achilles Museum for visitors to its gardens, through new digital tour facilities and thoughtful productions.
In this context, three black booths, a triangular screen and a polygonal structure with a modern design were created that inform and guide visitors through the history of the Achilles Palace, the building and its designers with five highly aesthetic video productions.
The outdoor facilities provide educational information and transport visitors to another era, to Empress Elisabeth of Austria – known as Sissi who created the Achilles as her personal retreat and then to Kaiser Wilhelm II, who transformed it into a symbol of power.
Thematic documentaries projected on the screens, with the participation of important Greek actors such as Nikos Kouris, Cora Karvouni, Aphrodite Doritis and Vicky Papadopoulos, guide visitors through the history, architecture, as well as the new uses of the monument up to the present day.
The art of the Achilles, the interior frescoes, the furniture and the unique statues are presented with information and evidence, until the work is completed and the museum reopens to the public.
The production was carried out in collaboration with the Directorate of Modern Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture with the aim of highlighting the palace, attracting visitors and developing it into a modern space of knowledge and cultural exchange.
