DKG Development announced the signing of an agreement with IWG, the world’s largest workplace platform, to create a flexible workspace on the first floor of the under-construction SKYWAY building, located at 24 Grigoriou Lambraki Street in Piraeus.
The new space, with a total area of 524 sq m, will operate under IWG’s internationally recognized HQ brand, meeting the growing demand for platform and flexible working in Piraeus.
HQ SKYWAY will offer high-quality workspaces, including private offices, meeting rooms, co-working and creative spaces, while International Workplace Group’s Design Your Own Office service will enable companies to fully customize their space according to their own needs.
SKYWAY is part of the wider urban regeneration of Piraeus Gate, a mixed-use project that is reshaping the city’s entrance. The 10-storey building includes 44 modern residences for sale, with pre-sales already underway, as well as a commercial store on the ground floor, which remains available.
The collaboration with IWG is in line with DKG Development’s strategy to offer modern, flexible and easily accessible professional housing solutions in Piraeus, adapted to the evolving needs of modern entrepreneurship.
Mr. Konstantinos Petrides, Founder, President and CEO of DKG Development, stated in this regard: “Our collaboration with IWG and the entry of the HQ brand into our project in Piraeus confirm the potential of Piraeus Gate and the trust it inspires in the global market. This investment strengthens the local economy, contributes to the sustainable upgrading of the urban fabric and creates new opportunities for the Piraeus community. Beyond its architectural and business value, this project breathes new life into the neighborhood, bringing life to the area and creating opportunities that directly benefit its people. Our vision is to create a new model of urban development that combines high quality of living, modern services and international expertise.
Mr. Mark Dixon, CEO and Founder of International Workplace Group PLC said: “With this new partnership, we are creating a stronger and much-needed presence in Greece. As a major business center, Piraeus is an excellent location to strengthen our expansion plans. We are very pleased to be working with DKG Development to develop the HQ brand through this management agreement, adding an advanced workspace to their building.” He added: “This expansion in Piraeus comes at a time when more and more companies are discovering that flexible working is extremely popular with employees, improving work-life balance, while providing a multitude of benefits to companies. Our workspace model has been proven to increase productivity and allow a business to scale up or down at significantly reduced costs, while providing access to thousands of locations.”
For his part, Mr. Alexandros Koudounas, Country Head of IWG in Greece noted: “The launch of HQ in SKYWAY marks an important step in the expansion of our network in the Athens metropolitan area. We are excited to partner again with DKG Development to create a new flexible working hub in Piraeus, enhancing the accessibility and potential of this vibrant urban area.”
IWG has already undertaken the management of office space, which is being developed by DKG Development on Vouliagmenis Avenue, IMERAS building, the inauguration of which is scheduled for the end of the year.
