The 88th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) kicked off Saturday, taking place until 15 September 2024, with Germany as the honoured country and the participation of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As part of this event, an important discussion on the role of the diaspora in the economic development of nations will be held on Saturday, 7 September, at the Ministry’s pavilion.
The event, titled “Entrepreneurship and the Greek Diaspora: The Example of Greek-German Businesses and Potential Synergies,” will focus on the economic impact and contributions of the diaspora.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs George Kotsiras will deliver an opening address, highlighting the strong dynamics of relations with the Greek diaspora, the potential for knowledge transfer and collaborations, and the opportunity to further enhance Greece’s global image.
The event will be moderated by Sofia Papadopoulou, Chief Editor of the Athens News Agency – Macedonian Press Agency (ANA-MPA) in Thessaloniki.
The panel will include:
Maira Myrogianni, Secretary-General,
Marinos Giannopoulos, CEO of Enterprise Greece,
Theodoros Deligiannakis, Board Member of the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce, and
Faidon Kotzampopoulos, President of the German-Hellenic Business Association (DHW).
