FedHATTA: Top German tourism executives in Athens

With a focus on further promoting Greek tourism in the German market, Aegean Airlines hosted a delegation of top executives from the German tourism market in Greece. The top executives from the German market were on a mission to Athens from October 15 to 17, with the aim of monitoring the progress of the Greek tourism product and improving strategies to strengthen the tourist flow from Germany.
The German delegation consisted of members of the Air Transport Committee of the Association of German Travel Agents (DRV), the most important institutional body of tourism in Germany. The team was led by Lars Holling, CEO of AERTiCKET Germany, while the members included top executives from companies such as Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, Studiosus Reisen, Gebeco, Invia Flights and Aeroplan Reise.
Also invited to the events were the Director of Communications and Marketing of Athens International Airport, Ms. Ioanna Papadopoulou, the Head of Culture and Hospitality of AIA, Ms. Petroula Teta, the Key Account Manager for Germany and Austria of Aegean, Ms. Bergemann Silke, and the Sales Manager for Central Europe & Head of Sales Representatives of Grecotel, Mr. Vangelis Vassiliou.
During the welcome lunch offered as part of the program by FedHATTA (Federation of Associations of Tourist and Travel Agencies) and HATTA (Association of Tourist and Travel Agencies in Greece), Mr. Lysandros Tsilidis, President of the Federation, emphasized: “Greece and Germany have long been connected by strong ties in tourism. Meetings of this level strengthen cooperation and contribute to the development of quality travel experiences and sustainable practices, which are the core of modern tourism.”
The lunch was held at the Four Seasons Hotel, which was represented by Messrs. Sofia Tsioni (Sales Coordinator, Commercial) Nota Damala (Assistant Director of Sales, Commercial).
