According to reports, when officers attempted to stop the motorcycle, the minor tried to escape but was quickly apprehended.
Subsequent checks revealed that the motorcycle had been reported stolen six years ago, in October 2019, in Thessaloniki. It did not bear legal license plates and was found to have a different engine than the one listed on its registration papers.
In connection with the same case, the minor’s parent was also arrested for neglect of supervision. A case file was filed against him for accepting and disposing of stolen property.
The motorcycle was confiscated and will be returned to its lawful owner, while the Traffic Police of Florina continue the investigation. The case file will be forwarded to the Florina Public Prosecutor’s Office.
