Government Spokesperson Marinakis Reiterates Greece’s Stand on Prespa Deal

On Tuesday, Greek Government Spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis reiterated his country’s stand on respecting the Prespa Agreement “without concessions”.
Asked whether PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis would congratulate Hristijan Mickoski on his election, the Spokesperson stated that Greece, in the frames of good-neighbourly relations with all countries, adhered to protocols.
However, the Spokesperson reiterated the comments made by Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, made the previous day at the EU ministerial, that the northern neighbour’s behaviour was in contradiction with international law and that the obligation for the constitutional name to be used use in relations to everyone (erga omnes) was not being respected.
