Greek President hails Egypt as pillar of peace and stability in region”

Greek President Constantine Tassoulas asserted that Egypt plays a significant role in promoting stability and peace in the region.
He noted that both Egypt and Greece, through their distinguished relations, stand firmly against those who attempt to stir up trouble and destabilize the region in general.
He made the remarks in a speech during talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi at the Presidential Palace in the Greek capital, Athens.
Tassoulas said good neighboring relations stem from the Charter of the United Nations in which humanity has sought to invest since its inception until now.
He welcomed President Sisi in Athens, highlighting the outstanding Egyptian-Greek ties that have many avenues for further development.
He noted that members of the cabinets of both countries will hold extensive meetings today on issues of mutual interest, including navigation, education, culture as well as the latest developments in the Mediterranean and the Middle East regions.
He stressed that Egypt plays a major role to achieve peace, noting that Egypt and Greek are cooperating for bright future of both nations and peoples.
