The Greek Olympic water polo team found themselves in quite the predicament over the weekend.
On the day of their 14-7 win over Romania, their bus was blocked by a parked car on a narrow street.
Videos emerged of the athletes trying to lift the vehicle to make way, with footage showing a group of the players bending down to pick up the black car, only moving it slightly.
Meanwhile, the Greek team’s coaching staff can be seen laughing and filming the ordeal in the background.
Several people responded to the video on X, with one person saying it shows ‘Greek spirit’.
Greece find themselves 2nd in the Group A table, having defeated both Romania and Montenegro.
The match with Montenegro was a shootout-style thriller, with Greece coming away victors in penalties 17(5)-16(4).
Meanwhile in Group B, Australia (who feature Greek Aussie Charlie Negus) are also 2nd with a 1-1 record so far, including an upset win over defending champions Serbia.
On the women’s side, the Greeks lost their first matchup to the United States 15-6.
