A delegation of Hellenic Army officers, led by General Anastasios Polychronos of the Hellenic Army Academy (Evelpidon), visited the Australian Hellenic Memorial in Melbourne on Saturday 22 November to honour the fallen.
The officers laid a wreath on behalf of the Hellenic Republic and the Ministry of National Defence before receiving a guided one-hour tour of the Shrine of Remembrance from veteran and community leader Steve Kyritsis OAM.

The group expressed deep admiration for both memorials, with General Polychronos visibly moved. “We must never forget the servicemen and women who served their country in war,” he said, acknowledging the historic ties between Greek and Australian forces.
