Hilton | Interest in new investments in Greece – Olga Kefalogianni meets with the presiden

The investment interest as well as the consistently high travel demand for Greece was confirmed by Mr. Simon Vincent, CBE, Executive Vice President & President Europe, Middle East and Africa of the international hotel company HΙLTON, during the meeting he had in Rome with the Minister of Tourism, Ms. Olga Kefalogianni, on the sidelines of the 25th World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) Summit.
The meeting was also attended by the President of the Hellenic National Tourism Organization, Ms. Angela Varela, Mr. Alan Mantin, Vice President Development Southern Europe and Ms. Lauren Ziska, Vice President, Government Affairs EMEA. Among other things, reference was made to the fact that the rapid service of investment projects by the Special Service for the Promotion and Licensing of Tourism Investments of the Ministry of Tourism, which will guide prospective investors as a one-stop service (One-Shop-Stop), is already recognized as good practice internationally.
Ms. Kefalogianni highlighted the development, especially in recent years, of high-standard infrastructure and services in our country, making special reference to Thessaloniki. She also stressed the particular importance of developing cooperative relationships with travel agencies and hotel companies of international prestige and recognition, such as HILTON.
Finally, Mr. Vincent focused on the establishment of Athens as a popular European urban destination, as well as the interest of the HILTON company in exploring investment opportunities in the rest of Greece.
