Hungarian woman detained over occupied land usurpation

A 61-year-old Hungarian woman was arrested yesterday in Cyprus on suspicion of involvement in the usurpation of land belonging to Greek Cypriots in the occupied areas.
She is being held under a seven-day detention order.
The woman was believed to have been involved in the sale of properties belonging to Greek Cypriots, advertising them through an online platform. A warrant had been issued for her arrest prior to her arrival in the Republic.
Upon her arrival at Nicosia International Airport, authorities identified her and executed the arrest warrant. Today, she appeared before the Nicosia District Court, which granted a seven-day detention order.
The woman is facing charges of conspiracy to commit a felony, conspiracy to commit a misdemeanour, and fraudulent transactions.
