Integrated Action Plan for the Development of Military Tourism

In the context of the strategic strengthening of special and alternative forms of tourism, the Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Olga Kefalogianni, met with the President of the War Museum, Lieutenant General (retd) Konstantinos Karamesinis, who presented the Joint Integrated Action Plan for the Development of Military Tourism.
The Action Plan is a product of cooperation between the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism, with the War Museum as the coordinating and implementing body.
Its aim is:
to protect, highlight and promote the country’s military heritage,
to preserve historical memory,
to strengthen the tourist product with thematic routes, cultural and educational activities,
to attract visitors with special interests from Greece and abroad.
The official handover of the Action Plan to the co-responsible Ministries of National Defense, Culture and Tourism took place at a special event that took place at the War Museum Amphitheater on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ms. Anna Karamanli, who also delivered a speech.
