Interior Minister Toskovski with New Info on Activities Related to Kocani Fire

On Tuesday, at a press-conference at around 3:30 pm, Interior Minister Pance Toskovski said the autopsy of the bodies of those killed in the Kocani nightclub fire had been completed, adding that everyone had been identified.
Also, he stated that 196 persons had been injured, including 20 children.
“Currently, 93 people are receiving treatment in hospitals in Skopje, whereas 80 are abroad, in Serbia, Bulgaria, Austria, Croatia, Turkiye, Greece, Hungary, and Bulgaria”, the Minister noted.
So far, he underlined, 18 people have been detained, while 16 have been held. One of them is the signatory to the document for the nightclub to be put into use. Searches have been conducted in connection with two Economy Ministry employees.
Also, there have been searches in connection with the manager and responsible person of the nightclub, while police officers have conducted activities on the premises of the Municipality building as well.
“A search has been conducted also in relation with a third Economy Ministry employee”, Toskovski pointed out.
Also, he confirmed there had been dismissals within the Stip Internal Affairs Sector and Kocani Internal Affairs Department.
