Jinhui sells another veteran supramax

Oslo- and Hong Kong-listed Jinhui Shipping and Transportation has sold another one of its ageing supramax bulkers.
The Chinese bulker owner and operator is offloading the 52,500 dwt
Jin Quan to Hong Kong-incorporated King Lucky Ocean for around $9.6m.
The 2006 Tsuneishi Cebu-built vessel, which Jinhui purchased for $9.3m from Greek owner Unisea Shipping as Makiki in 2021, will change hands between December 11 and January 10, 2024.
In September, Jinhui sold its 2004-built supramax Jin Feng to Singapore’s ETL Shipping for around $8.1m but also snapped up a 2014-built ultramax Hanton Trader III for $20.4m. As of September 30, the company’s fleet stood at 25 ships, of which 24 were owned and one chartered in.
