Man was allegedly raping this son’s minor former girlfriend

The case of the rape of a minor in Kolonos, Athens, by a 44-year-old man who was arrested, is horrifying.
According to the Athenian press, the 16-year-old girl had a relationship with the 44-year-old’s son for months and told her he saw her as his daughter. When the girl broke up with the young man, the father took the opportunity to set up his sick plan. He told the girl that he would help her get back together with his son and so he drove her in his car to an abandoned plot of land in Athens where he raped her. But the nightmare for the girl didn’t stop there…
The 44-year-old man started threatening her that he would kill her and her father, who was the only one she had in her life as her mother had died.
The man, who is divorced and has an 11-year-old daughter in addition to his son, repeatedly raped the 16-year-old girl with these threats until she managed to talk to her dad, which led to his arrest last Thursday by officers of the Kolonou Security Department, with the assistance of officers from the Athens Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security Directorate. The 16-year-old girl initially spoke to a friendly person about what she was experiencing and it was that person convinced her that she had to tell everything to her father.
The girl’s father testified that the perpetrator had had sexual intercourse with her, against her will, about ten times, between June 2024 and August 19.
After the father’s complaint, the perpetrator was spotted in the early morning hours of August 22 to 23 driving past the 16-year-old’s house in a car.
During those days he kept calling her to get together again, however, the minor tried to avoid him. Once he was spotted under her house, officers from the Athens Security Sub-Division placed him under discreet surveillance. The officers immobilized his vehicle, however, he changed direction at the last moment to flee. This was not possible, as they immobilized and arrested him.
His mobile phone and the car he was driving were also seized, as they were related to the case, while a search of his home resulted in the seizure of a laptop computer.
All the seized items and recovered evidence have been sent for laboratory tests.
The perpetrator had a completely organised plan, as he tried to trap the minor with “fabricated” messages that she was supposedly asking for a meeting, which she never sent, but another person belonging to the perpetrator’s circle of friends.
The arrested man was taken to the competent public prosecutor, while the girl has been taken to a competent service -presenting a psychologist- for a statement.
