Every year the Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HACCI) host an International Women’s Day event to offer a platform to discuss the pivotal role of women in business, science, politics and society.
This year, in alignment with the UN Women’s theme, ‘March Forward: Rights, Equality, Empowerment for ALL Women and Girls’, the event will present two speakers who will offer unique insights on gender equality and empowerment.
Kate Fitz-Gibbon, a renowned scholar and expert on preventing violence against women and children, and Sylvia Hadjiantoniou, CEO of PRONIA, an advocate for social equity and community development.
They will share their expertise on gender equality and empowerment, offering perspectives on the systemic changes needed to create lasting impact for women and girls worldwide.
Both Kate and Sylvia’s work demonstrates a commitment to systemic change, from education and research to leadership in social services. Their voices inspire and challenge to think about the future of women and girls in Australia and beyond.
The discussion will be moderated by Professor Alex Christou from Monash Business School.
