Ministry of Tourism: Approval of expenditure for the upgrade of technological equipment

A decision signed by the Minister of Tourism Olga Kefalogianni approved an expenditure of 39,731.44 euros for the procurement and installation of technological equipment, with the aim of improving the Ministry’s infrastructure.
The relevant decision concerns the acceptance of the offer of the company PROCOM, which emerged as the lowest bidder in the tender for the procurement of IT equipment. The procedure was carried out with the criterion of awarding the lowest price, in accordance with the current institutional framework.
The equipment that the Ministry will procure includes servers, storage and state-of-the-art backup systems, with a total cost of 39,731.44 euros, which will be covered by appropriations from the Regular Budget.
The decision underlines that this upgrade is part of the digitalization and upgrading of the operation of the services of the Ministry of Tourism, in order to improve the service to citizens and professionals in the sector.
The Minister of Tourism, in her relevant remarks, stressed that the strengthening of the digital infrastructure is a basic prerequisite for the modernization of Greek tourism and the upgrading of the quality of the services provided.
