Former UFC champion Conor McGregor has launched a high-stakes treasure hunt across Dublin, hiding $100,000 worth of gold, silver, and gift cards for his pub.
McGregor teamed up with Trax NYC, a well-known jeweler, to scatter the riches across the city. The challenge is to find the hidden treasures before anyone else.
McGregor’s grand giveaway of $100,000 of gold treasure
McGregor announced in a video, instructing the jeweler to spread the wealth. “Trax my man, put that all over Dublin, Ireland,” he declared. Trax NYC wasted no time. “$100,000 of gold and silver,” the jeweler confirmed, holding up the valuable stash.
The hunt isn’t just about luck—it’s also about speed. Each silver and gold piece contains a phone number, allowing the lucky finders to notify Trax NYC when they claim a prize.
“The kilos of silver and the ounces of gold got the phone number on them, so you can text me when you find them,” he explained.
The search won’t be easy. Some prizes are easy to spot, while others require effort. Trax NYC tossed a piece of silver into a river in one instance. “You might have to go for a swim for that ounce right there,” he teased.
Me and Conor stick to our word, and we’re out here giving away $100,000 of gold and silver out in Dublin. The more support we get the more we can do for the world and give out this gold and silver. @TheNotoriousMMA #TraxNYC #Jewelry #Gold #giveaway #ConorMcGregor pic.twitter.com/LowBBNlTAG

Safety remains a concern as treasure hunters hit the streets. Trax NYC urged participants to be cautious. “You’re responsible for your own safety and the safety of the people around you if you go and choose and look for this treasure all over the great city of Dublin. We even got a statue of Conor in silver stashed out here,” he warned.
Even those not scouring Dublin have a chance to win. McGregor and Trax NYC announced a social media giveaway. “If me and Conor reply to your comment, you’re gonna get a gold Conor McGregor statue. All right, but it’s gotta be both of us replying to any comment that somebody makes in this video.”
This isn’t McGregor’s first big giveaway. Last year, he put his 205,000-euro ($222,000) Lamborghini Urus up for grabs in a 1 euro raffle, giving one lucky fan the chance to drive away in the luxury vehicle.
McGregor teases bare-knuckle boxing move
While Dublin buzzes over the treasure hunt, McGregor is stirring speculation in the fight world. His long-awaited return to the Octagon remains uncertain following the cancellation of his UFC 303 bout against Michael Chandler. However, his latest social media activity suggests he is preparing for a different fight.
McGregor has been dropping hints about a potential Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) debut. As a co-owner of the promotion, his involvement wouldn’t come as a shock. Recently, he shared footage of himself striking a heavy bag without gloves, fueling rumors of a future bare-knuckle bout.
The Irish superstar has yet to confirm his next move, but with gold hidden across Dublin and fight fans speculating about his return, McGregor is again at the center of attention.
