Olympiacos and AEK are all set for a huge top-of-the-table battle as they each seek to overtake the other in the hotly contested title race.
The Piraeus giants host Enosi at “Georgios Karaiskakis” Stadium on Monday morning (AEDT) in the Greek Super League’s 12th round, with the match looming as a fierce, tight battle.
Both teams are on 21 points (equal with Aris), making this an excellent opportunity to go past the other on the ladder.
Aris will be hopeful they play out a draw so they can move into outright first, though they will have to defeat Volos at “Kleanthis Vikelidis” ground on Sunday morning.
The “yellow-blacks” have had a phenomenal start to their campaign, and they will no doubt be keen to continue their positive form and claim top spot for themselves.
PAOK is set for a tricky away encounter against Asteras Tripolis on Monday morning wherein victory could give them a healthy boost on the table.
The Thessaloniki giants sit just one point adrift of first and so could make an important climb up the ladder, if results go their way.
Panathinaikos could equally make an important leap up the table if they can secure an away win against an in-form Panetolikos outfit.
The Greens are only two points away from the league leaders, with this game looming as a golden chance to gain ground on the title challengers.
The Agrinio side will not be an easy challenge, sitting one position behind the “Trifylli” in sixth, meaning that Panathinaikos will have to give their all to seal maximum points.
Kallithea is seeking their first win of the season as they host Panserraikos on Saturday morning, with the Athenian club fighting to escape from the relegation zone.
Lamia is looking to get out of last place when they play OFI at “Athanasios Diakos” ground on Sunday morning.
Atromitos is looking to build up momentum for their upcoming games against Panathinaikos when they take on Levadiakos at home on Tuesday morning.
The Peristeriotes will be keen to down the “blue-greens” and make it back-to-back league victories, which would put them in good stead heading into their consecutive clashes with the “TrifyllI” next week in the league and in the Cup.
