Opening of bicommunal ceramics exhibition “Shared Heritage: Shaped by Fire” at CVAR

On 19 February 2025 at 19:00 the opening of the exhibition Shared Heritage: Shaped by Fire will take place at the CVAR. The exhibition will run from 20 February to 2 March 2025, Tuesday to Sunday from 9:30 to 17:00.
The exhibition will feature a diverse group of Cypriot ceramicists, both established and emerging, of which six are Greek-Cypriot and six Turkish-Cypriot. Their works will reflect on the museum and respond to the diverse historical pieces in the CVAR collection.
The ceramics will also be available for sale.
Participating artists: Elysia Athanatos, Christiana Charalambous, Sinem Ertaner, Vedia Okutan Gaydeler, Oya Güryel, Yılmaz Kastanbollu, Eser Keçeci, Celia Potoudis Macpherson, Anastasia Lambaski Onisiphorou, Panayiotis Pasantas, Mümine Özdemirağ Yağlı, Alexandros Yiorkadjis.
Centre of Visual Arts & Research (CVAR)
The Centre of Visual Arts and Research (CVAR), located on Ermou Street in the heart of the walled city of Nicosia, opened in 2014. CVAR is home to the Costas and Rita Severis collections, which include paintings, antique costumes and memorabilia related to Cyprus and its neighbours. CVAR also houses a library and research centre with over 20,000 volumes available to scholars and casual readers alike. CVAR hosts a wide range of activities, workshops and seminars supported by the Foundation and its partners to promote understanding and peaceful coexistence.
