The ex-mistress of Russian President Vladimir Putin has been dubbed “cold” and “robotic” after she was seen shouting at a student in a new video clip.
Alina Kabaeva, once dubbed “sex mad”, was allegedly in a relationship with Vlad for a few decades until earlier this year when she was dumped for the blonde bombshell Ekaterina Mizulina – who also happens to be Russia’s internet tsar.
Although Kabaeva is well-loved in Russia because of her previous Olympic exploits, she all-but entirely disappeared from the public eye for the last year of their alleged relationship. However, now back firmly in the public eye, Kabaeva has been lambasting students once again at her Sky Grace gymnastics academy in Sochi, Russia.

In a new clip of the Olympian trying to teach a young girl, she was seen shouting “NO, stop,” as well as snatching a ball off her to try and show her how to do a very specific technique as part of her floor work. The young girl looked visibly shaken, but appeared to take it on board and was able to do the move correctly shortly after.
But the actions were dubbed “cold” and “robotic” by followers of Kabaeva on an Instagram account dedicated to her. One wrote: “Alina teaches people like her just a lot of elements of how robots should perform and where is the artistry?” Another posted: “she had a smile, but her eyes were cold and ambitious.”
Her clothing was also questioned, as she was attempting to teach while wearing a white pant suit – which is hardly appropriate gymnastics attire. A third commented: “The girl is talented, it’s a pity that Alina doesn’t wear appropriate clothes for girls’ training, the coat on her shoulders was (grimace emoji).”
However, it wasn’t all negative, as one commented: “You are not ashamed of how you teach, you always look good, that is your clothes, you are a coach. “A coach should be standing next to you, dressed to perform the elements, I don’t know what you call it. Y’all just show off not a coach.”
On Kabaeva’s academy’s website, she explains more about her teaching style, and how she tries to show them how to ”follow their dreams”. “All children are talented, the only issue is what conditions do they learn and train in,” she said.
“Every child has unique abilities that need to be recognized and supported in a timely fashion. The very best thing that the younger generation can and should be taught is to believe in themselves, to follow their dreams, to work hard and to overcome obstacles.
“All our efforts should be aimed at providing as many opportunities for improvement as possible for those who stand at the very beginning of their life’s journey and to inspire them to partake in new beginnings, create good training conditions, under the guidance of professional trainers.”
Despite her former allegiances to Putin and the comments on the video, Kabaeva is loved throughout Russia for her exploits in gymnastics over the years, which saw her win two Olympic medals – a gold at the 2004 Athens Olympics, and one bronze in Sydney in 2000. She also picked up 14 World Championship medals, and 21 European Championship medals throughout her illustrious career.
