Sorin Bunea (not his real name) remains undecided about how he will spend Romania’s longest weekend of the year, which stretches over four days, from Thursday May 1 to Sunday May 4.
For several years, the 43-year-old employee of a public energy company has travelled with his family on May 1, a public holiday in Romania, as it marks Labour Day, to the Greek seaside to celebrate the start of the summer season.
“This year, I’m still unsure whether I’ll go because May 4 is the day of the first round of the presidential elections,” he said.
