St George College end-of-year concert showcases faith, culture and student achievement

St George College has marked the end of the academic year with its annual End-of-Year Concert, bringing together students, families, staff and members of the wider community for an evening of music and cultural celebration.
The concert featured a broad program of performances, including choral ensembles, instrumental groups and solo items, highlighting the progress and commitment of students across all year levels. The variety of performances reflected the school’s emphasis on creative expression alongside academic learning.
Several faith-based songs formed part of the program, reflecting the College’s Orthodox Christian foundation and its focus on integrating faith into school life. Performances were presented in Greek, English and Serbian, showcasing the cultural diversity of the student body and the inclusive character of the school community.
Students from junior through to senior year levels took part, contributing to a program that emphasised collaboration, confidence and participation across the College.

The event was attended by St George College’s new Principal, Mr Guy Cassarchis, who commenced his role at the beginning of the year. During his first year, Mr Cassarchis has overseen a number of initiatives aimed at strengthening the learning environment, supporting student wellbeing and enhancing school culture. His attendance at the concert reflected the school leadership’s support for extracurricular and creative activities.
Members of the clergy, including Father Patsouris, Father Jeremy, Father Armandos and Father John, were also present, highlighting the close relationship between the College and the Orthodox Church. Their participation reinforced the school’s commitment to nurturing students’ spiritual development alongside their educational journey.
