“Today, throughout Greece, our people are shouting out loud: ‘No sacrifice for the profits of the few, no sacrifice for the war economy and their tariffs,’” said Dimitris Koutsoumpas, the general secretary of the Greek Communist Party, KKE, who participated in the protests in Athens.
Koutsoumpas called for the signing of collective agreements, the restoration of annual bonus payments of two extra months’ salary in the public sector, wage hikes and official accountability for the Tempi train accident that cost the lives of 57 people in 2023.
