The landmark urban regeneration project The Ellinikon is drawing strong interest from international buyers, including Australians, with purchasers now coming from more than 110 countries worldwide.
According to the latest update from LAMDA Development, the buyer mix for residential developments at The Ellinikon currently stands at 55 per cent Greek buyers and 45 per cent international buyers, with 22 per cent of total demand coming from the Greek diaspora.
A significant share of international interest has been recorded from Greek expatriates, particularly those based in the United States and Australia. LAMDA attributes this momentum to a series of international roadshows, along with targeted promotional campaigns positioning The Ellinikon within the global residential and investment property market.
As part of this strategy, LAMDA recently presented The Ellinikon and its emerging investment opportunities at Property Congress 2025, Australia’s leading real estate industry event, held in Perth. The presentation highlighted Athens as an increasingly attractive international destination for modern, sustainable urban living.
LAMDA’s update also revealed that total proceeds from property sales at The Ellinikon have reached €1.5 billion, covering the period from the project’s launch through to 30 November 2025.
Of the 671 residences developed within the Little Athens neighbourhood, 84 per cent have already been sold or reserved, underscoring the project’s strong market performance and international appeal.
Meanwhile, set to become Greece’s tallest building, the Riviera Tower is emerging as a landmark centrepiece of The Ellinikon, having already surpassed the halfway mark at 113 metres and on track to reach a final height of 200 metres. The 50-storey skyscraper will almost double the height of Athens’ current tallest building, Athens Tower 1, and will feature 169 luxury residences, ranging from one-bedroom apartments to expansive five-bedroom homes. Scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2026, it is one of four high-rise towers planned for The Ellinikon’s transformative first phase.
