The actions of the 32-year-old Palestinian (initial reports had suggested he was Syrian), arrested for harassing two underage girls in Aigaleo, are both multi-faceted and severe.
According to protothema.gr, investigations by the authorities revealed that this man is also responsible for a fire that broke out in early September in the Hymettus forest near Karea Avenue. His arrest for the fire was made today by officers of the Fire Crime Division (DAEE).
It is recalled that the 32-year-old alleged arsonist, yesterday, Monday, attacked and harassed a 17-year-old and a 14-year-old. The first incident occurred shortly after 13:15, with the 14-year-old as the victim. He approached her from behind while she was walking unaware, hugged her, threw her to the ground, spat on her, and then fled.
A few minutes later, on another street in Aigaleo, he targeted a 58-year-old woman, grabbing her from behind, holding her hand, and blowing into her ear.
The 32-year-old did not stop there. A little further down, he entered an apartment building where the 17-year-old lived and pulled down his pants while the girl begged him to leave.
Ultimately, his actions were stopped by a 30-year-old man who immobilized him with the help of his cousin. Police from the Immediate Action Unit, informed by the victims, arrived shortly after and arrested him.
