Stefanos Tsitsipas continued his strong run at the Indian Wells Masters in California, securing a comfortable 6-2, 6-4 victory over Brazil’s Thiago Wild (World No. 91).
The Greek star, currently ranked No. 9 in the world, dominated from the outset. With breaks in the second and eighth games, he wrapped up the opening set in just 34 minutes.
Wild put up more resistance in the second set, holding serve until 5-4, but Tsitsipas—nicknamed “Tsitsifast”—stepped up at the crucial moment, breaking serve to close out the match in 54 minutes.
Next up, Tsitsipas will face Italy’s Matteo Berrettini (World No. 29), who defeated Australia’s Christopher O’Connell 6-2, 7-6(2).
Tsitsipas’s recent title win in Dubai, which earned him $605,530, pushed his career prize money past the $34 million mark.
With $34,030,968 in earnings solely from tournament victories, Tsitsipas now ranks 11th on the all-time ATP prize money list.
Novak Djokovic leads with $186.2 million, followed by Rafael Nadal ($134.9 million) and Roger Federer ($130.5 million). Tsitsipas, with 12 titles and 354 career wins, is still chasing his first Grand Slam.
Alexander Zverev, ranked fifth in prize money with $51.8 million, is another top player yet to claim a major title.
While endorsements add significantly to players’ wealth, the rankings reflect earnings strictly from on-court success.
