Victorian Council for Greek National Day announces new Executive Committee for 2024

The Victorian Council for Greek National Day has announced the appointment of its new executive committee following the election that took place last Monday at the Pan Macedonian House in Clifton Hill, Victoria.
In a letter sent to Neos Kosmos the incoming committee expressed its gratitude to the community for their trust and support. Sophia Siachos, the newly appointed Chair, along with Secretary Kristian Raspa, extended their heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in the election process.
“We are honoured to serve and are committed to continuing the tradition of celebrating Greek Independence Day with dignity and pride,” said Chair Sophia Siachos.
“We look forward to working together to make next year’s events memorable and meaningful for all.”
Under the new leadership, the Victorian Council for Greek National Day aims to enhance the participation and engagement of the Hellenic communities in the commemoration activities. The committee is dedicated to fostering unity and promoting Greek culture and heritage through well-organised and inclusive events.
The Victorian Council for Greek National Day comprises Victoria’s Hellenic communities, schools, and organisations. Its primary objective is to organize commemoration events marking Greece’s Independence Day on March 25 each year.
These events honour the historical significance of Greek independence and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Greek community in Victoria.
The newly elected executive committee members are as follows:
